Terms of Service
These terms govern use of Identrifi, the age- and identity-verification service operated by Vylaline Inc. They apply both to individuals completing a verification and to platforms that integrate the service.
1. What Identrifi is
Identrifi confirms that a person joining a platform is a genuine, of-age individual who matches their identity document, and returns a signed result to the platform that started the check. Identrifi is not a login provider, a background check, a credential or employment check, a data broker, or a guarantee of any person's honesty, character, or future conduct. It answers a single question — real, of age, and provably them — to the standard described on this site.
2. If you are being verified
By completing a verification, you agree that:
- You will use your own genuine, valid government-issued ID — not another person's, and not a forged, altered, or borrowed document.
- The information you provide is true, and you are the live person completing the video check.
- You consent to the identity and biometric processing described in the Privacy Policy.
- You will not attempt to defeat, spoof, or manipulate the check (for example with photos, masks, deepfakes, or another person).
Attempting to verify with a false or stolen identity may be unlawful and may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
3. If you are a platform
If you integrate Identrifi, you agree that:
- You will verify the signature and validity of each token with the published public key, and act only on a valid, unexpired pass pinned to your platform.
- You will not treat the result as anything more than the verification described here, and you remain solely responsible for your own access, moderation, and account decisions.
- You are a separate data controller for your own accounts and for whatever you do with a pass/fail result.
- You will not misuse, resell, or attempt to reverse the service, or use it to collect verification evidence you are not entitled to (you are not — the evidence stays with Identrifi).
4. The verification result
A result reflects the checks described on this site at the time it is issued. Borderline cases go to human review rather than an automatic pass. A pass means the checks were met; it is not a warranty of a person's identity for all purposes or of their conduct after verification. Tokens are short-lived and expire in minutes.
5. Privacy and biometric data
Identrifi's handling of identity and biometric data, including retention and your rights, is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Biometric processing occurs only with your express, pre-capture consent.
6. Availability
The service is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis. It may be unavailable, interrupted, or updated, and verification may occasionally be delayed or require review. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vylaline Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, Identrifi, or from a platform's reliance on a result. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
